We went to Miami to visit our daughter who recently moved there. We’ve been to Miami several times. So, this time we wanted to spend a little time relaxing. The rest of our time was to be spent doing some things we have never done on our previous visits to Miami.
Where We Stayed
We didn’t want to stay in the usual resorts or hotels. So, we opted to stay in the Secret Tiki Garden Oasis. It is located in Hollywood, FL, which is about 20 miles from Miami. It was an excellent choice. If you are a nudist like us, and love to walk around free of clothing and labels, this is the place for you. Obviously you don’t have to be nude, we were just happy that we could be. LOL! You’ll be surrounded by beautiful tropical landscaping, have a large heated pool to yourself, have an outdoor restroom and shower, and have two outdoor bedrooms to choose from. One of the rooms even has a swinging bed.

What We Did
When we weren’t in chill mode, we went out for some fun.
We visited Hollywood Beach. It is so beautiful! We entered at the Margaritaville entrance since that seemed to be the midway point of the Broadwalk. They call it the Broadwalk instead of a Boardwalk because it isn’t made of boards like most boardwalks you see. The Broadwalk is lined with Palm Trees and is along the beach. The water is so pretty. There was live music playing at several of the restaurants. There were a few shops, but not as many as I usually see on boardwalks at other beaches. We did buy sunglasses at one of the shops.
One day we spent the afternoon on the water. We rented a nice sized yacht to spend the day on the water with our daughter, and some of her friends. We had an amazing time. My daughter’s friend is a photographer. So, we had some beauty photos taken. My daughter’s other friend was the DJ while we were on the yacht. So, you know I got my dance on.
We spent several hours at the Nude Beach. If you would love to swim in water, and walk on the sand completely naked, you have to check out Haulover Park in Miami Beach. It is a wonderful feeling being free of clothing labels, and being able to walk around nude without the fear of getting in trouble for not having on clothes. We had an amazing time! Leave that bikini at home, and take nothing but your smile.
We had my daughter and her friends come hang out with us at the Secret Garden Tiki. We ordered food, took a ton of photos, listened to music, played on the oversized unicorn in the pool, and just enjoyed ourselves. The entire vibe of the Secret Tiki Garden is perfect for taking amazing photos or just chilling and taking in your surroundings.
One night we visited Cheetah Gentlemen’s Club in Hallandale Beach. We chose that location at the last minute. It was the middle of the night on a Monday night, we weren’t tired, and Cheetah’s was open until 6am. It was also the closest location to where we were staying. Obviously, you never tell too much about went on while inside of the Gentlemen’s Club. Ha! Honestly, I wasn’t expecting to have a good time there after reading a few negative reviews. However, what I will say is that we were treated like royalty from the time we walked in until the time we left. We even met some other amazing people who were visiting from out of town. We had a blast! I would certainly recommend that location.
Where We Ate
Y’all know we LOVE to eat, and the Hollywood/Miami area has so many options.
We had Oceans 11 Lounge deliver food to the Tiki Garden. It was delicious. We also recommend the diner called Jack’s Hollywood Diner. It is only a few minutes from the Tiki Garden. You have to try the grilled biscuits. It was my first time having them. They were so good.
Tips
If you want to get around Hollywood, but don’t want to drive, download the Circuit App. They will get you around Hollywood, FL. The only thing you have to pay for the ride is the tip. I cannot wait until a lot more cities across the country have this mode of inexpensive transportation.
